Synopsis

A store owner wonders why the truck hasn’t been coming lately for his store.


The truck driver hasn’t came today

When I sat by my window all day

It felt like I had waited a century

When I looked at my store be empty

There’s barely any chips, drinks, candies, or delis

There’s barely any paper towels, paper, or towels

The potential customers outside my window… 

most peeked on through and walked the other way 

with a look of disgust and dismay

Some went in and looked around and bought a few items

It’s so odd…I’m usually happy when they buy stuff 

Now my ease slowly sinks at the bottom

What happened? Are there no truck drivers on the streets? Did they all quit? Are they all on strike? 

Were they not paid enough for us to meet and greet? Oh, maybe the farmers lost their land

Oh, maybe the farmers can no longer grow food from their plan

Barely made money today, don’t know how I’m going to pay for my home 

It’s strange…how I give people prices from time to time, now, it looks like I’m paying the price

I haven’t seen the truck driver come in almost five months now Oh…what was his name? Brian? Broderick? Bryce? 

Time is almost up and soon my inventory will be empty, I called a corporation and they said…
