Synopsis
What do stars think about up upon the night sky?
When I See the Stars…
Y’all glow but I can’t admire it, the concept of time moves fast in modern day nights
Y’all have so much warmth to give me, yet, I’ll die if I get close
They say y’alls body’s celestial, but are y’all holy…and of God?
As I run upon a wheatfield before my chamber—I look to y’all with a smile
Maybe one day in the afterlife, we’ll get to meet—and like in my flesh, my soul will feel alive
…the Stars Sees Me
It’s time for you to fall asleep as I awake with no beep
And as you say “I pray the Lord my soul to keep”
We’ll portray “In the dark blue sky you keep”
Sailors, flying feathers, and maybe even soldiers
Use us to seek victory amongst their brothers
Astronomers and astrologists don’t need a pencil to connect our dots
All they need is an artist’s imagination, even coming from their scholarly thoughts
As dust surrounds us, to you, that might mean we’re old and broken
